I want this movie to be funny.
The first couple seconds of the preview had me scared because Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson appeared next to Samuel L. Jackson in a cop-chasing-bad-guy scene. Samuel might have his fair share of winner rolls (i.e. Russel Franklin in Deep Blue Sea) but Dwayne is obviously naturally terrible in everything he's done. So although this is supposed to be a comedy, and it's Adam McKay (director of Step Brothers and Talladega Nights) that's directing, I'm holding a wall up just so I don't get my hopes up. You can never tell with comedies anyways.
Will Ferrell and Mark "Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch" Wahlberg play your typical clashing cops trying to prove that they are awesome and running into obstacles throughout the movie that make Will Ferrell say/do something outlandish and we all crack up. There are so many Will Farrell haters out there and I can completely understand why, but I am not one of them. he cracks me up, so that piece of the movie is promising...to me at least. Mark Wahlberg has been in some pretty bitchin movies (The Departed, Planet of the Apes) however I'd be lying if I said he was a phenomenal actor because most of his lines sound scripted. I think it's because he has a slight speech impediment. Nevertheless, comedies can get away with bad acting, and I do enjoy me some Marky Mark regardless. Sooo, I feel the vibration to say the least (had to).
Oh, and was that Michael Keaton I saw??? Yes.

BATMAN
Who isn't a fan of the Batman movies? They have yet to steer us wrong. Well, something extra sexy is headed our way with the third installment of the new Batman flicks. Mr. Johnny Depp is said to play The Riddler in "Batman 3" (no official title yet). Of course, that is unofficial right now..yet I believe every ounce of it.
I would prefer if they didn't do the whole Riddler concept (imo). Yes he's a nifty character/villain, but to me, he's too much like The Joker...only worse. Give us variety. But, I can deal. I won't doubt that it won't be awes-sauce so do it up Nolan's. I would love to see Harley Quinn somewhere in the storyline and I have a feeling she'll pop up. I just hate that there isn't "definite's" anywhere.
Apparently this is supposed to be the final chapter of the Batman franchises and that makes me upset beyond belief. What am I supposed to do with my afternoons once this is all over? Pick up a hobby I suppose...
I'm so geeked to hear more about this!
